Ritorna OtherOS! Rilasciato un nuovo CFW dualboot GameOS/Linux

Finalmente è stato rilasciato un custom firmware con dualboot che permette l’avvio sulla PS3 sia del GameOS (il sistema operativo della PS3) sia di Linux, e sono sicuro che molti di voi saranno contenti di questa notizia.
La scena PS3 è rimasta un po’ ferma recentemente e tutti gli occhi erano puntati sulle vicende di Sony e il loro fallimento con la sicurezza del PSN.
Grazie a Geoffrey Levand, che probabilmente ha lavorato a lungo per creare questo nuovo CFW per PS3 dual-boot GameOS/Linux, torna il tanto amato sistema operativo sulla console di Sony.
Con questa installazione avremo più di quello che ci aveva offerto OtherOS di Sony prima che venisse rimosso.
Questa volta OtherOS avrà pieno accesso a GameOS, l’accesso ai servizi di HV SS, pieno accesso a tutti i servizi di gestione della rete, e molto altro.
Sarà inoltre possibile effettuare il downgrade senza l’ausilio di dongle USB o del service mode, si può attivare e disattivare la crittografia del HDD/VFlash, e molto altro.

Tested 3.41 and 3.55 on PS3 Slim with Gentoo and Debian Squeeze but should work on PS3 Fat without problems
